‘Shadow’- Individual Mas Carnival Artist. Unsung Legend – Liverpool Caribbean Carnival’s 8th Wonder. He used imagination, craft and passion to created legendary costumes during the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Shadow and Liverpool Caribbean Carnival research project is part of this journey to create an archive of Liverpool Caribbean Carnival. It will raise the visibility of Liverpool’s African Diasporic culture, highlighting the importance of Toxteth Caribbean Carnival and its legacy.
Expanding the narratives about Carnival in the UK and Caribbean and recognising Shadow’s artistry, skill, innovation and contribution to Liverpool and London Carnivals, solidifying his impact as a Man Carnival Artist.
